TASK
TASK 1: Research
We were tasked to work with the business school of Taylors. The product we
were responsible to work on is Lugmate. This is their concept deck:
For this task we did some research:
- Target Audience
- Empathy Map
- Pain-points
- Improvement
- User Needs
- Problem Statement
- User persona
Target Audience
We targeted family-orientated travelers with young children and tech-savy
consumers.
From the interviews conducted, it was noted that majority agreed most
luggage are heavy and difficult to carry around. Less than half have
security concerns. 33% think luggage's are hard to maneuver around larger
crowds. 12% tend to misplace their luggage.
User Needs

- Anti-theft lock
- Auto follow feature
TASK 2: Ideate Solution
During this task our team came up with 3 deliverables:
- Smart app
- 3D product design
- 3D animated video
Moodboard
We decided to use ELM SANS as the primary typeface for the branding of
Lugmate.
TASK 3: Prototyping
Lugmate Luggage Design
This is the initial sketches of the product design. We then proceeded to carry forward with 3D modeling the product.
